Darkroom AI Studio is an AI photo-direction tool operated by Darkroom AI Studio. These terms cover the website, the studio, and anything you generate with it. Creating an account means you accept them.
If you are using the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it.
You need an account to run the studio. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.
One free allowance per person. Creating extra accounts to repeat the free allowance is not permitted. We use reasonable technical measures, including device, browser and network signals, to help detect repeated free-trial abuse. Accounts that look like duplicates may have their free renders paused pending review.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
You keep ownership of every photo you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to send your images to our AI provider, generate the requested look test, and return it to you.
You may only upload photos of yourself, or photos of someone who has given you clear permission to use their likeness this way. Do not upload photos of children, public figures you have no relationship with, or anyone who has not agreed.
We do not sell your photos, and we do not use them to train models.
Subject to these terms and to your payments being up to date, you own the look tests you generate and may use them personally or commercially.
Renders are look tests, not retouched final art. AI output is imperfect: expect variation in likeness, hands, text and fine detail. We do not guarantee any specific result, resemblance or quality.
AI systems can produce similar output for different users. We cannot promise your renders are unique, and we cannot grant you exclusivity over them.
Do not use the service to create sexual content, content involving minors, harassment, impersonation, deceptive political material, or anything unlawful.
Do not attempt to bypass quotas, rate limits or billing; do not scrape, resell, or run automated load against the service.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without refund where the breach is deliberate.
Credits are the unit of use. A standard look test costs 1 credit. ✨ Darkroom Finish, our Premium AI enhancement pass, costs 2 credits.
The free plan includes 5 credits in total. It is a one-off allowance, not a monthly one, and it does not reset.
Pro is A$20 per month and includes 100 credits each billing month. Unused monthly credits roll over and bank up to 200. Top-up packs are available to Pro subscribers, never expire, and are only drawn on after the monthly allowance is used.
Payments are processed by Stripe in Australian dollars. We do not see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the paid period ends.
Banked rollover and top-up credits remain in your account but can only be spent while a subscription is active.
If a render fails or is cancelled because of a system error, no credits are deducted, or they are automatically restored in full. You are only ever charged for a render that succeeded and was delivered to you.
We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.
We aim to keep the studio running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. The service depends on third-party AI providers, and their outages, model changes or price changes can affect it.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, contact us and we will sort out a fair outcome.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where those rights apply, they stand regardless of anything written here.
Beyond those rights, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that breach these terms.
